Magnetic interlayer coupling between ferromagnetic SrRuO<sub>3</sub> layers through a SrIrO<sub>3</sub> spacer

A key element to tailor the properties of magnetic multilayers is coupling between individual layers. In case skyrmion hosting multilayers, skyrmions across layers highly desirable. Here interlayer was studied in epitaxial all-oxide heterostructures ferromagnetic perovskite SrRuO$_3$ separated by spacers strong spin-orbit oxide SrIrO$_3$. This combination being discussed as a potential candidate system host N\'{e}el skyrmions. First order reversal curve (FORC) measurements were performed distinguish switching processes and disentangle signal soft impurities from samples$'$ signal. Additionally, FORC investigations enabled determine whether or antiferromagnetic. The observed strength weak for all heterostructures, with SrIrO$_3$ 2 monolayers 12 thick.
